Winter in the Willamette Valley can be, well, pretty wet. Trails are often muddy and sometimes impassable. Our family craves the fresh air and we’re creating a list of hikes near Eugene that are great for winter. Since many of these are paved, a lot of them are also stroller-friendly; no one likes to slog through mud and have to clean muddy stroller tires!
All of these hikes are on paved or graveled trails, and all are near Eugene so it’s easy to get outside on dry(ish) winter days. Whether you’re looking for a rugged hiking trail, or an easy walk with the kids, these hikes have what you’re looking for! And we’ve personally taken all of them with our kids so we can tell you all about them!
We’ll add to this list often throughout the winter as we explore more hikes near Eugene and Springfield. And let us know about your favorite winter hiking trails!
